LS19 Chip Tuning
Hello together,
I share with you today my script mod for tuning motorized vehicles.
What does the mod: You can now adjust the performance of the vehicles in the shop or the garage (you don’t have to enter the xml of the vehicle, YUHUUU!!!!)
you have the steps +5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 or 100% of the basic power -> if +100% = the power is 2 times higher than original(i thought that was good enough gradation, otherwise you have to click so much)
The tuning itself doesn’t cost much like in real life, it’s quite cheap, especially it doesn’t make much difference if you take 10 or 20% more power. The higher you tuned desdo more power you get for the €.
However! the tuning raises the daily running costs . with 10 or 20% per cent tuning such a vehicle is still well away and one pays ca <1% of the purchase price daily. But if you overdo it and tune +100% you have just over 10% of the vehicle costs as daily maintenance costs. So you should consider how much you tuned, otherwise a bigger tractor would have been cheaper. In reality it is the same.
Of course you are not allowed to tune the vehicle when you rent it, the dealers don't like that ;)
Of course, fuel consumption is also adjusted.
use of mod: You call the shop, then the vehicle you want to buy (or drive with your vehicle to a configuration point e.g. shop or workshop) there appears a configurations window with the name Tuning there you can click through the configurations as usual. The actual power of the vehicle will be shown above the configurations. (But it is planned that the performance will be shown in the field which is already in the game (I'm just too stupid)..
When you have configured the device appropriately, you can buy it. it's not possible to rent a tuned vehicle.

great mod but prices too high above 15% you can lower these values?
which prices do you mean? Daily Upkeep prices or Upgrade buy cost prices?
I tried it to make it as realistic as possible, and in reality 10% is not really problematic, every vehicle can live a long time with that. 20% is the limit you do in reallife in agriculture( at least here in germany) everything above is just hard on the machinery and will lead to failures, because of that i made it that way…
ANYHOW: I will implement a mod settings .xml file like Enhanced vehicle or VCA has, there you can adjust the settings how much the things cost and some other stuff probably , but this will take a quite a time.
MEANWHILE: you can adjust the tuneablespec.lua file in the lines : 154, 181, 211 and replace the 2000 with a even higher number so daily upkeep gets smaller or you can make the curve flatter and make the 2 something like 1.5 or even 1, then all daily costs are in equal steps of cost.
